Obama the Globe trotting President

Today while I was following some Twitter conversations about the President, I was directed to an article in the Miami Herald that mentioned that our current President has traveled to sixteen countries so far in his first year in office. It also mentioned that it costs the Air Force, wich means us the Tax Payer, $100,219 an hour to operate Air Force One. That does not include the cost of the cargo aircraft carrying his vehicles or the cost of the aircraft that ferry his entourage around the globe. Just think a trip from Washington D.C. to Denmark costs over 800,000 dollars..round trip that is over 1.6 Million dollars. Yes President Obama is doing alot to improve the image of the United States, and yes he needs to meet face to face with world leaders, but considering the position of the economy, perhaps he should consider a face to face video conference over the Internet, just one of the cost cutting measures used by private industry today.
